About the location
Following extensive renovations, Gerhard Satran sr. created the now famous Finkenstein Castle Arena from a former flower garden over 25 years ago. What started off in 1980, soon turned into an attractive venue with an annual concert festival.
In addition to our own venues at the Castle Arena, Music & Event Hall and our Restaurant Stiftsschmiede on Lake Ossiach (with lovely lake terrace for up to 250 people), we would also be happy to organise your event anywhere in the Carinthia region.

Be it on the terrace, in the knights’ cellar or for catering events – our culinary delicacies are known far beyond the borders of Carinthia.
Convention rooms
The Finkenstein Castle Arena (open air) provides space for 1,150 people and is an attractive venue for concerts, comedy, presentations and events.
To prevent events from being cancelled or postponed because of bad weather, he also built a music and event hall with excellent acoustics at the foot of the castle. Given its special design featuring a round, cantilever roof, the music and event hall has a capacity of 1,500 people on 14 arena-like tiers. If events similar to conferences are held, rows of seats can be replaced with tables as required, providing space for 720 people. Thanks to our long-standing experience in organising the festival at the Finkenstein Castle Arena, our team is highly qualified for arranging your events or company incentives.
